Job Overview

CTI Foods, a leader in kettle cooked foods, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Director to join our growing team. This role is pivotal in driving sales growth within our national accounts segment, including soups, sides, sauces, and other kettle cooked products. The ideal candidate has a solid sales background preferably with experience in food science or culinary, backed by established relationships with national accounts and a proven track record of successful sales strategies.

Responsibilities

  1. Create and implement comprehensive sales strategies to grow CTI Foods' market share within national accounts specializing in kettle cooked foods.
  2. Establish and maintain relationships with key national account clients, understanding their needs and driving customer satisfaction.
  3. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling CTI Foods’ products within existing accounts.
  4. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive analysis specific to the kettle cooked foods sector.
  5. Work closely with the product development and marketing teams to align offerings with market needs and customer preferences, ensuring product quality and innovation.
  6. Leverage culinary or food science expertise to provide technical support to clients and assist in product training and application.
  7. Track sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on account performance, product success, and market trends.
  8. Mentor and guide a team of sales representatives focusing on national accounts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Qualifications

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Food Science, Culinary Arts or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales leadership, particularly in the food industry, with a focus on national accounts.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing relationships with national account clients in the foodservice or retail sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of food science principles, culinary techniques, or product development processes related to prepared foods.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret sales data and market trends effectively.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to a dynamic market environment.
  • Technical experience in R&D/or and Culinary.
