Material Handler - Forklift Operator (Stand-Up)

Overview

Responsible for shipping and receiving products, ensuring product integrity, traceability, and rotation.

2nd shift: 6PM - 6:30AM - $17/hr

Responsibilities

• Unload production supplies including packaging, spice and raw materials. Accurately rotate stock and position for production.
• Have at a minimum a working knowledge of handheld scanners to track material movement in a WMS software environment.
• Move finished goods from production to shipping area for loading on company shuttle.
• Follow specific rotation guidelines for each storage area.
• Adjust storage areas as needed.
• Load trucks following all proper truck loading procedures.
• Follow all food safety (GMP) and general safety guidelines.
• Assure all proper releases have been obtained from the QA prior to loading or unloading product.
• Operate stand up and sit down style forklifts and powered pallet jacks.
• Maintain all required records and documents, such as the Daily GMP, Trailer Load Diagrams, and Operational Reports.
• Any other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Lift and push up to 60 pounds
• Work in a cold/hot environment for 10 + hours
• Operate stand up and sit down style forklifts and powered pallet jacks.
• Read, write, and understand simple English
• Work quickly and repetitively
• Forklift and pallet jack certification is required
