Job Overview

The Warehouseman Lead is responsible for daily warehouse tasks, clerical warehouse responsibilities, and maintaining inventory and the overall cleanliness of the warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for scheduling receiving & shipping scheduling and shipping/receiving documentation.
  • Help warehouse personnel in scanning and paperwork as needed and ensure all paper work is turned in daily.
  • Manage truck schedule in coordination with dock schedule to ensure timely delivery and unloading.
  • Maintain and produce daily inventory report to always ensure proper inventory levels.
  • Complete physical inventory at end of each production run or at end of period.
  • Complete full cycle counts at each shutdown.
  • Reconcile inventory to warehouse documentation
  • Enter purchase requisitions in ledger and file hard copies.
  • Attach receivers with hard copies of purchase requisitions
  • Input all necessary information into general ledger for budget management.
  • Provide assistance to Operations Managers as needed.
  • Unload facility supplies including packaging, parts, and raw materials.
  • Monitor, manage and maintain the top tier and palletizer.
  • Accurately rotate stock and position for production.
  • Have at a minimum a working knowledge of handheld scanners to track material movement.
  • Assure all proper releases have been obtained from the QA prior to loading or unloading product.
  • Maintain all associated Shipping & Receiving records.
  • Keep work area clean and free of clutter and debris.
  • Accurately document where raw materials and supplies are being stored.
  • Have at a minimum a working knowledge of handheld scanners to track material movement.
  • Move finished goods from production to shipping area for loading on company shuttle.
  • Ensure pallets are staged and dispensers are filled with pallets.
  • Ensure spice, salt and film are staged and ready for packaging.
  • Follow specific rotation guidelines for each storage area.
  • Adjust storage areas as needed.
  • Load trucks following all proper truck loading procedures.
  • Follow all food safety (GMP) and general safety guidelines.
  • Operate stand up and sit-down style forklifts and powered pallet jacks.
  • Ensure Forklifts are charged and ready for use.
  • Maintain all required records and documents, such as the Daily GMP, Trailer Load Diagrams, and Operational Reports, Redzone.
  • Any other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Operate stand up and sit-down style forklifts and powered pallet jacks.
  • Work quickly and repetitively.
  • Forklift and pallet jack certification is preferred.
  • Fall safety
  • Ability to move between various tasks
  • Able to operate basic computer, phone, and copier functions.
  • Handle all inquiries with a positive attitude.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic English.
  • Complete basic math problems.
  • Ability to take initative and work independently. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop for 10+ hours.
  • Frequently lift, push, or pull up to 60lbs.
  • Working conditions may require you to work in tall, high and tight spaces.
  • Climb 8-10 ft staircase to reach top tier for maintenance, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Ability to wear PPE equipment for 8-10 hours (i.e., Steel toes, Hard hat, hair/beard net & hearing protection)
  • Ability to adhere to GMP policies when entering the production areas.
  • Ability to load and unload trucks.

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is exposed to hot, wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
  • Work in hot environment for 8-10 hours (80-110°F)
  • Ability to work alone well and with others
  • Loud environment due to machinery – Hearing protection required
