Job Overview

As a “Specialist I, IT Helpdesk”, you will utilize knowledge of applications, cloud architecture (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS), database administration, networking, and hardware systems, along with critical thinking skills, to maintain and support information and operational technology applications, infrastructure, and hardware throughout the organization. This role will work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and Agile/Kanban environment, supporting various manufacturing, financial, and technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

  1. Monitor and triage helpdesk escalation queue to ensure operational & financial productivity and overall system avaibility.
  2. Proactively review historical issue data to initiate, plan, and deliver continuous production-system improvements.
  3. Engage with balance of Systems Engineering team to upgrade and/or replace legacy production systems.
  4. Manage assigned project Kanban (JIRA) and deliver project-based system enhancements to approved specification.
  5. Engage with IT Support Manager and systems analysis team (IT Project Manager) to define and support system configuration projects.
  6. Interface with stakeholders to define, train, and validate system requirements, utilizing end-user appropriate language and tools.
  7. Proactively identify, record, and escalate blockers and risks to operational effectiveness or system availability/stability.
  8. Develop technical documentation and deliver end-user training on newly deployed or upgraded systems.
  9. Other duties as assigned by IT leadership team.

Qualifications

What we need from you:

  • 2+ years’ experience supporting a large-scale enterprise environment including, but not limited to, ITSM, Active Directory, Azure AD, MS Office 365, Windows Server 2019, and One Drive for Business (Required)
  • 2+ years’ experience supporting data solutions including MS SQL Server, SSMS, & SSRS (Required)
  • 2+ years’ experience supporting Exchange, Outlook, and Teams/Teams Phone (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated intermediate proficiency in PowerShell scripting (Preferred)
  • Experience working with at least one cloud technology ecosystem such as AWS or Azure (AWS preferred)
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Certification(s) (Identity & Access Admin, M365 Security Admin, Azure Administrator) (Preferred)
  • Willingness and desire to learn and apply advanced IT and project management principles and tools
  • Self-motivated and self-starter
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently, tackling complex problems
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders across organizational boundaries
  • Engages in ongoing continued education opportunities and proactively brings opportunities for improvement to team, direct manager, and business stakeholders.
  • Be accountable to yourself and team for quality and timely delivery of product features
  • Be able to communicate and take ownership for overcoming roadblocks to performance/solution delivery
  • Able to articulate technical concepts in as non-technical a manner as possible without distorting the message
