Job Overview

The Human Resource Generalist will support 300+ employees and perform complex HR task in some or all of the following functional areas: Employee Relations, Training, Onboarding, Benefits Management, payroll functions. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals of all levels in the organization. The Generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee good will, and the business need.

Responsibilities

1. Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and other government regulations.
2. Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
3. Responds to employee relation issues employee complaints, harassment allegations, and workplace safety complaints.
4. Performs benefits administration for onboarding, QLE’s, and open enrollment.
5. Interviews and screen job applicants to fill production roles; direct hire and temporary.
6. Facilitates or provides training (including orientation) to the workforce.
7. Manages the development of training programs, performance management, and recognition programs.
8. Distributes the employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done win a timely manner.
9. Maintains local organization charts and the employee directory.
10. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
11. Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database as needed.
12. Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
13. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred
• 3-5 years of experience working with in a Human Resource Generalist role within a fast-paced environment

• Bilingual: English and Spanish is a plus

• Professional in Human Resources (PHR, SHRM-CP) certification preferred
• Ability to build and maintain collaborative work relationships with professional boundaries.
• Ability to adapt to conflicting, changing priorities in a fast pace work environment
• Working knowledge of employment laws and practices
• Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs
• First-hand experience working with ADP, Attendance Enterprise, and/or Alchemy is a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and coaching skills
• Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
• Excellent organizational skills
