The Maintenance Lead will utilize specialized skill sets to support the maintenance and optimal operating condition of a variety of equipment using company approved food safety practices and policies. Train other maintenance mechanics to increase skill level in the department when applicable. Decrease equipment downtime utilizing training and skills. Diagnose malfunctions in production machinery and equipment. Install, repair and maintains machinery and equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical systems, in accordance with blueprints, schematic drawings, operations manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; use hands, fingers, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee will be required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, and crouch on ladders or mechanical equipment/ The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to from 50lbs to 100lbs. Employee may also be required to work on platforms up to 20ft high for extend periods of time. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is exposed to sight & smell of food, dry & cold ingredients and liquids. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and requires that hearing protection be worn in production areas always.
