Job Overview

Directs and coordinates activities of production department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.  This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Directly supervises the Production Technicians/Operators. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training management employees; planning, assigning, and directing work to production supervisors; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues. 

Responsibilities

  1. Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operatiPlans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  2. Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
  3. Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  4. Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
  5. Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  6. Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Production Superintendent or Plant Manager for action.
  7. Includes staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating and process improvement.
  8. Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently; Organizes or schedules other people and their tasks.
  9. Promotes, adheres, and is responsible for Food Safety and Quality.
  10. Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
  11. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  12. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  13. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  14. Follow all company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and adhere to JSA guidelines.
  15. Responsible for Food Safety and Quality Culture.
  16. Follow daily set up and/or shutdown procedures.
  17. Maintain accurate records.
  18. Must be able to work any shift, overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
  19. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  20. Any other duties as assigned.
  21. Ability to identify visual defects and make correction as needed and identify and distinguish between colors.
  22. Must be able to work in areas of varying temperatures.
  23. Relieve other associates as necessary.
  24. Maintain good housekeeping.
  25. Regular attendance

  28. Perform all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws as well as company policies and procedures

Qualifications

High School diploma required
• Associates degree or bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2-3 years of manufacturing supervisory experience paired with leadership skills that inspire, motivate and encourage the floor workers and team leads to ensure that our employees are living the values of CTI Foods.
• A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualities for selection and success to jump into our existing infrastructure without skipping a beat.
