Job Overview

Responsible for production scheduling in the facility.  In addition, this position is responsible for managing the inventory of finished goods insuring adequate levels to support appropriate customer service and inventory turn targets.

Responsibilities

  1. Schedules production to meet sales demands and inventory plans.
  2. Coordinate with customer service and sales personnel to insure no product shortages.
  3. Maintain scheduling spreadsheet with 6-week plan.
  4. Coordinates with production to optimize run plan and minimize downtime associated with line changes, outsourced materials, and equipment.
  5. Analyze and address production issues in a timely fashion.
  6. Coordinate with production, purchasing and finance teams to develop and maintain scheduling parameters.
  7. Generate production reports to Managers for critical decision-making purposes.
  8. Interface with corporate S&OP group to facilitate long term decisions related to capacity constraints and labor planning.
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What we need from you:

  • Minimum of 1 year of scheduling experience or related Supply Chain functions.
  • In depth knowledge of MRP and ERP systems
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or other Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience compiling and presenting scheduling documentation and data in Excel, Word, etc.
  • Applicant must be well-organized, detail oriented, and a self-starter with demonstrated capacity to learn new technologies and work successfully in a team environment.
  • Must have strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment processes
  • Knowledge of necessary administrative duties to maintain and organize records, reports, or other information.
  • Skilled in presenting information or ideas concisely, accurately, and clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Skilled in analyzing and documenting simple and complex business processes.
  • Skilled in communication with a focus on listening and influencing skills.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adjust promptly and effectively during times of change.
  • Ability to exercises appropriate judgment in decision-making and problem solving; seeks help promptly as necessary.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
